Whenever an asset is in the "In Use" state assigned to an employee, the system strictly forbids reassigning it to another employee directly. The user must explicitly perform an "Unassign" operation, returning the asset to the "Active" pool. Every step is cryptographically audited in `inventory_lifecycle.json` with the actor's IP address and timestamp.
Assets marked as Disabled, Mark as E-Waste, End of Support, End of Life, or Faulty are immediately categorized as inactive. They are removed from active circulation counts and surfaced in dedicated status reports for audit and disposal tracking.
